The Ultimate AP Chem Calculator:

My mission:

As an AP Chem studnent, I understand that being able to both understand and preform complex mathamatical operations with systems that are unclear and easily forgetable, is extremly important. And as a programmer, I've strived to create as many learning opportunities for my self as possible. Therefore, my mission is to learn how to program a website, while re-learning calculations for AP Chem. This project will be less logic (e.g.: "What is a Halogen?" is not something my code can anwser) centric and more focused on mathamatical understanding via allowing the user to enter data, and it to return the correct anwser with explanations to suit. Please note that only units 1-5 are complete due to exam pressures.

Unit compositions:

  1. Unit 1: Conversions using Moles + Balancing Ionic Equations w/ Charges
  2. Unit 2: Collumbs law comparisons
  3. Unit 3: Ideal Gas equation (PV = nRT)
  4. Unit 4: Stoichiometry w/ Net Ionic Equations
  5. Unit 5: Half lives w/ Ordered reactions + Rate Laws
  6. Unit 6: Finding heat (Jules) in a system (Q = mc𝚫T) **NOT FINISHED
  7. Unit 7: Equilibrium expression + application **NOT FINISHED
  8. Unit 8: Finding pH and pOH + using Henderson-Hasselbalch(pH = pKa + log([A-]/[HA])) **NOT FINISHED
  9. Unit 9: (at STP: 25.0°C, 1.0atm and 1.0M) Solving for 𝚫S + 𝚫G in a complete reaction + 𝚫G in an equilibrium reaction **NOT FINISHED

What math will not be covered?

The vast amount of material that is inside AP Chem will not be covered. This is because of time constraints and my lack of experience in programming in Java Script (as this is my second project coding a website). I put alot of effort in the designing, programming and execution of complex ideas within the given timeframe. I hope you enjoy my project!
